ROUNDS

Delete your ROUNDS account

This page is for ROUNDS, the interval-training app published by Garrenteed Labs LLC. You can delete your account and everything stored with it at any time, and you do not need the app installed to do it.

Delete it in the app

This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.

  1. Open ROUNDS on your phone.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Make sure you are signed in. If the Account section shows Sign in or create account, sign in with the same address first — or use the email route below.
  4. Under Account, choose Delete account.
  5. Confirm when asked. Deletion happens straight away. On Android the Account section then goes back to Sign in or create account. On iPhone and iPad the app usually returns to its full-screen sign-in page instead — there is no longer an account to be signed in to, and that is the deletion succeeding rather than a sign-out. If it fails, the app tells you and nothing has been deleted.

The same option is available on Apple TV, if that is the only screen you have to hand: open the gear icon at the top of the home screen to reach Preferences, then choose Delete account next to Sign out.

If you no longer have the app

  1. Cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play, if you have one.
  2. Email {{MAINTAINER: PRIVACY_EMAIL}} with the subject Delete my account, from the email address the account uses.
  3. We reply with a short confirmation code. Send it back to us. Nothing is deleted until you do.
  4. We delete the account and confirm when it is done.

Why we ask you to confirm

An email address is the only thing that identifies a ROUNDS account, and deletion cannot be reversed. If we acted on any message that merely claimed to be you, anyone who knew your email address could destroy your history. So we only accept a request sent from the account's own address, we always confirm with a code you have to send back, and we do not accept deletion requests through any other channel — not social media, not a third party, not a phone call.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

This cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore an account afterwards, so please write down or screenshot anything you want to keep before you ask.

Your subscription keeps billing unless you cancel it

Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or by Google Play, not by us, and deleting your ROUNDS account does not cancel one. Cancel it in the store you bought it from before you delete your account —support explains where. Deleting the account first does not stop the charges and does not entitle you to a refund from us, because we never took the payment.

What deleting your account does not do

It does not erase everything on your device. Deleting your account also clears this device's copy of the workouts and history held under that account, including the heart rate and calories stored with them. Settings that were never tied to your account, such as the age you entered for zones, your equipment list and your recently-used cue shortlist, stay on the device. Deleting the app or clearing its data removes the app's own copy, but not a copy already in your iCloud or Google backup. Workouts or active energy the Apple Watch app saved into Apple Health are Health's records, not ours: remove them in the Health app if the uninstall prompt did not. See the privacy policy.

It does not delete anything already uploaded elsewhere. While a Strava connection is live, every workout you finish on that device is uploaded to Strava automatically. Workouts you end early are not, and workouts recorded on your watch are not. Uploads include your heart-rate graph — roughly one reading every few seconds — whenever you wear a strap, along with your rounds, rest periods and total time. Anything that was uploaded lives in your Strava account and has to be removed there, the heart-rate graph included. Deleting your ROUNDS account clears the connection on our side, but it does not withdraw the permission you gave Strava, so disconnect in the app before you delete your account, or revoke ROUNDS yourself in your Strava account settings.

It does not remove ROUNDS from your Apple ID. If you signed in with Apple, ROUNDS stays listed under Sign in with Apple in your Apple ID settings until you stop using Apple ID with it there. We cannot do that for you.

How long it takes

We keep no backup copy of an individual account that could be restored after deletion. If you have not heard from us within 72 hours, please write again — assume the message was lost rather than ignored.

Other things you can ask for

You can also ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it, at the same address. The privacy policy sets out the full list of rights and how to complain if you are not satisfied.
